FightFit Personal Training
Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Does A Session Cost?
Your intro session is only $100. It’s free to book, you simply pay at the end of the session. All sessions are 100% money back guaranteed. After your intro session we’ll send you your package pricing options for your customized training program.
Do You Offer Discounts For Packages?
Yes. We typically offer 5, 10, and 20-session packages. The more sessions you purchase per package, the less you pay per session. Our training programs are fully customized so exact pricing depends on your program, location and training.
What Equipment Do I Need?
We provide all of the equipment you need, including gloves and hand wraps, which you can try before you buy. It’s perfectly fine to use your own wraps and gloves (we recommend 12-16oz hook-and-loop), or even to try ours and compare them to make sure you have the best fit. We’re also happy to incorporate other exercise equipment you might have.
Where Will We Train?
Convenience is one of the great benefits of working with us. Our trainers come to you, on your schedule. We can train at your home, in a nearby park, at your office, etc. Our coverage area spans everywhere from Santa Monica and the Pacific Palisades, down to Manhattan Beach and El Segundo, over to Downtown, Studio City and the San Fernando Valley, and everything in between (Brentwood, Westwood, Sherman Oaks, Hollywood, West LA, Marina Del Rey, Culver City, West Adams and more). If you’re unsure if we cover your area, feel free to reach out to us directly at info@fightfitpersonaltrainers.com.
I Have No Experience In Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Or Any Other Martial Arts. Is This Still For Me?
100% yes, most people start their training with no experience at all. It’s an incredible journey that will make you leaner, stronger and more resilient along the way. Our top-tier trainers have worked with everyone from brand new beginners to professional athletes.
Will A Minor Injury Prevent Me From Training With You?
Usually not. Generally speaking, if you’re able to jog for a few seconds and do a few jumping jacks, you have all the mobility you need for this training. We can work around most injuries, and will always customize the session around you and your ability. When you book your intro session, we’ll also reach out to confirm any injuries you have and discuss them with you, as well as doing an assessment during the session itself. In all cases, ensuring your safety is the highest priority.
What Are The Age Ranges Of Clients You Work With?
Any age! However, generally we don’t recommend this training for children under the age of (roughly) 8 years old, as younger children generally aren’t able to focus for a full session and grow from it. We have seen some exceptions to this though, and are happy to assess on a case-by-case basis.
How Long Is A Session?
The minimum and typical session length is 60-minutes, but we are available for longer sessions if you prefer.
What If I Don't Enjoy My Session? Can I Get A Refund?
Absolutely, sessions are 100% guaranteed. We’re here to make sure you love every minute of your training, and don’t want to keep your money if you don’t.
What Should I Expect For The Intro Session?
A full, fast-paced hour where we will assess your current experience and athleticism, and craft a session that’s fun, challenging and instructive. We’ll be covering the basic foundations of striking from the ground up through functional warmups, technique demonstration, padwork, drilling, and even an intro to slow sparring if you like. We keep everything safe, and will modify the session to precisely what suits you best. How you learn, how hard you like to be pushed and in what style, and what specific parts of the training work best with you are all areas we consider in creating your curriculum for regular training. From there, we’ll work out a plan and schedule with you, and can incorporate homework workouts and nutrition coaching as needed.
What Should I Wear For A Training Session?
We recommend flexible shoes you’re comfortable bouncing around in and workout clothes. Because you’ll often have your hands up at the sides of your head, we recommend contacts over eyeglasses if you have the option (but they aren’t required). Don’t forget to bring water!
Do I Need To Worry About Overtraining? I Don't Want To Be Pushed Beyond My Limits.
Absolutely not. We will be continually communicating with you throughout the session, making sure to push you only however much is helpful for you. We’re here to make sure you love and get the most possible out of the session, on your terms. We pride ourselves in our many long lasting relationships with trainees who are always excited for the next session. Read any of our reviews on Yelp or Google Maps and you’ll see just how passionate we are. We have over 100 reviews, every single one is a 5-star rating from our huge variety of clients coming from all experience levels and backgrounds.
